Troop 581 takes every available chance to go fishing. This April the troop headed to the Upper Potomac River near Cabin, West Virginia to go trout fishing. Since there was no school on Friday, the Scouts got an early start to maximize their fishing time. After arriving, the troop set up the campsite and headed to the river. Saturday was also dedicated to fishing but the Scouts could also work on earning the Fishing Merit Badge. Unfortunately, the threat of serious weather forced the troop to strike camp early and head home Saturday evening. But fish were caught and the campout was a great success.
