Summer Camp 2024

This summer, Troop 581 returned to Goshen Scout Reserve for Summer Camp. It had been over 15 years since the troop last held a summer camp at Goshen. A total of 31 Scouts stayed at Camp Olmsted. The troop’s newest Scouts from the Red Racoon Patrol participated in the Trailshead Program designed for first year Scouts to work on initial rank requirements, instructional swimming lessons and to learn what it means to be a Scout. More seasoned Scouts were able to choose from a wide variety of merit badge programs and activities such as aquatics, shooting sports and climbing. It was an epic adventure and Troop 581 is looking forward to the summer of 2025 when it returns to Camp Rodney Scout Reservation.
