Troop 581 has never shied away from an adventure on the water. This May, some of our Scouts traveled to the Ohiopyle State Park in Pennsylvania. The Troop drove up Friday night and stayed at one of the park’s campgrounds. Then in the morning, received their safety brief, equipment and headed out raft the Lower Yough River. There, they ran class II through IV rapids during the four hour float. They then explored some of the may hiking trails in the area. A great time was had by all and the troop is looking forward to its next rafting trip.

Scouts ready to go rafting!
